Just Wait
A Lesson in Patience
In this enchanting story, a caterpillar asks to be able to fly like the butterfly. Just before the butterfly takes to wing it tells the caterpillar "Just Wait". Throughout Summer, Winter, and Fall with all their hardships, the little caterpillar waits. We all know what happens in the end and how he is rewarded for his patience. Children can be encouraged by this each time they await a birthday, Christmas or a special trip. You need only to read the story to them as a reminder.

Beautifully illustrated and written with plenty of heart, this wonderful story shares an important message that children –
and adults – should hold onto for life. In this charming story, a small caterpillar is told to wait and he does not know why. He simply obeys and waits. In the end, he finds out why he had to remain patient for so long. He spreads his wings as a beautiful butterfly, and he relays the message to another. Waiting is not always easy, but it can lead to the greatest rewards. Children often do not understand why they have to wait for something to happen. "Just Wait" is a lesson in patience. It teaches that having to wait can be a good thing. "All things come to those who wait" is a phrase well remembered.
