Diane "Ms. P" Pleasant

Born in Staten Island, NY, Diane Roure Pleasant moved about the country as a military child. When Diane was ten she resided in her mother's hometown of Greenwood, MS. As a Voice major, Diane attended Bellhaven University in Jackson, MS. There she met and married Bill Pleasant. The two raised four children as she taught music and art in the Jackson and Clinton, MS areas for many years. During that time she became "Ms. P" to all of her students. She now has ten grandchildren and remains "Ms. P" to present and past students who have grown to adulthood.

 

Throughout her life she has written stories and music. Diane joined "The Clinton Ink-Slingers" writing group, where she was encouraged to begin publishing her work. She now serves as President of the writing group, and she also served as President of the Arts Council of Clinton from 2014-2016.

 

Diane's hobbies include pottery, painting, gardening, writing stories, singing, writing music and crafting.
